Batelco categorizes its PBXs into:
• Traditional PBX Telephone Systems.
• IP Telephone Systems
Traditional PBX Telephone systems
Traditional PBXs are also up-to-date telephone systems (switch) which can improve your office communications for both voice and data. They are able to give you more efficient call handling, both inbound and outbound. The benefits are better customer service, cost-savings and efficient communications across your business - especially if you connect up your office with a Local Area Network (LAN).
We refer to them as traditional because they are mainly configured with Analogue and Digital Extensions. Some traditional PBXs can also be enabled for IP.

IP PBX:
This new IP technology enables voice, video and data applications to be delivered over a single network. More and more customers are moving to convergent telephone systems, which combine voice and data. If you have a Wide Area Network (WAN) connecting more than one site, you can also save money by using VoIP for calls between them. IP also offers significant cost-savings in installation and maintenance .
