Superior traffic management with end-to-end support
LANConnect is a superior traffic management service connecting your Local Area Networks (LANs) at different sites and can be offered as a fully managed service. It is based on frame relay technology, which provides high performance communications between many users on a single network. The service is ideal for interactive client server applications, file transfer, document sharing, CAD/CAM and intranets. It is specifically designed to handle bursts and fluctuations in the traffic pattern that occur when data is exchanged between multiple sites at bandwidths of up to 2Mbps. The service can also be offered as Managed LANConnect, in which Batelco manages the routers in the Wide Area Network (WAN) which connect together the Local Area Networks (LANs) at various sites. In the managed service Batelco takes responsibility for router provision, maintenance and configuration management. Furthermore technical design and network consultancy is also provided, enabling you to optimise your network.
