Audiotex ( Audi-O-Tex) - a generic term used to describe a mode of accessing information services via the telephone, whereby hundreds even thousands of calls can be handled at the same time on the same number.

The services offered are promoted with the existing media and are retrieved by accessing via the public switched telephone network (PSTN TACS / GSM), to a sophisticated computer command voice processing system.

It is the responsibility of the Service Provider to set the tariff and promote the service. Therefore, it is expected that different services will be set at different tariffs, of course at a premium rate, and every time the service is promoted, its associated tariff has to be published.

The maximum Call Charges to Audiotex service is BD 0.500 per minute with a total call charges no more than BD 3

All Audio Tex services start with 90000000 to 90001999 and every time a number is promoted, its subsequent charge will be mentioned.

Customers who do not like to get access to this service - can be barred through Batelco.
