Date bolt-on is a value added service (VAS) that has been created to fit the high demand on data usage.

Customers can now add their bundles depending on the Mbs that best suit their need and start expanding their usage without worrying about GPRS charges

How to activate the service?

Terms & Conditions/unlimited data:

  • *Fair usage policy: Once the subscriber exceeds their data threshold, they will keep enjoying the mobile broadband service for free at a throttled speed until the bolton specified period is over
  • To subscribe to these Bolt-ons the subscriber must have at least BD1 above the selected bolton price
  • Subscribers on the unlimited mobile broadband boltons will continue to enjoy unlimited data at throttled speeds, A downlink of 256 kbps and uplink of 128kbps after exceeding their threshold
  • The customer will be able to add a data Bolton on top of the other, for example if a customer is subscribed to BD3 Unlimited then adds BD5, the system will give priority to the last bolton (BD5) until the period of 30 Days is over.
  • The customer will not be able to add the same bolton more than once in the same month, but he can add a different bolton.
  • The boltons are all automatically renewed provided the customer has the minimum amount required for the bolton in the date of renewal.
  • The data boltons will not cover BlackBerry services.
  • Batelco has the right to withdraw the service or change the packages at anytime
  • These boltons are for SimSim prepaid customers only.

How to Deactivate the service:

The customer must send one of the following codes to 4554

  • For 500 Fils bolton the customer must send "DU400"
  • For BD1 bolton the customer must send "DU1"
  • For BD3 bolton customer must send "DU3"
  • For BD5 bolton the customer must send "DU5"
  • For BD10 bolton the customer must send "DU10"
  • For BD30 bolton the customer must send "DU15"
