Smart Device agreement terms & conditions


Default Package:

Upon the end of the 24 month term contract, customer will be notified to visit any Batelco retail shop to select the appropriate Mobile Postpaid package, or will be moved to Batelco’s Freetime 100 mobile package in case of no action taken within 14 days.

Calculation of device:

  • Some of our devices require a down payment of BD30.

If customer cancels the Smart Device agreement prior to the end of the agreement contract period, customer will be charged the remaining amount of the device. This amount will be calculated based on the remaining months of the contract.
If postpaid service (one year contract) is cancelled a BD3 penalty per month will be calculated for the remaining months of the contract.
If Smart Device agreement (two year contract) is terminated BD10.5 will be calculated for the remaining months of the contract.

Example:

  • If customer cancels the mobile postpaid service before the expiry of the contract  by 6 months, it will be calculated as the following:

BD3 (penalty of canceling the contract)  X 6 (remaining months of the one year contract) = BD18

BD10.5 (penalty of terminating Smart device agreement) X 18 (remaining months of the two year contract) = BD189

  • If customer cancels the Smart Device agreement after the end of the 12 months mobile postpaid contract the remaining months of the Smart device agreement will be calculated as the following:

BD10.5 (penalty of terminating the two year Smart Device agreement) X 12 (remaing months of the contract) = BD126
