**Event Theme Lassana Lanka-Gamai Nagrayai meaning beautiful Sri Lanka**

Batelco, as part of its commitment to culture, has announced its sponsorship of a Cultural Fundraising Event organised by the Sri Lanka Club. The event will take place at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam on 25^th October, 2013.

The major cultural fundraising event is being held to showcase the traditions of Sri Lanka and will feature a typical Sri Lankan Village and town atmosphere under the theme of “Lassana Lanka-Gamai Nagrayai” meaning beautiful Sri Lanka. The proceeds will go towards funding various community development projects in the Sri Lanka Club.

Batelco Public Relations Manager, Osama Al Saad, presented the sponsorship cheque to the President of the Sri Lanka Club, Ravi De Silva, during a recent meeting at Batelco’s Hamala Headquarters.

Batelco Group General Manager Media Relations Ahmed Al Janahi said that Batelco was a very keen supporter of cultural events which provide great opportunities and entertainment for the general public.

“We wish the Sri Lanka Club every success with their efforts to raise funds that will support community development projects,”  he added.

Batelco’s sponsorship programme provides support to a wide range of education, health, sports and cultural initiatives every year.
