• What is accidental damage?

  Damage arising from sudden and external causes that is not intentional on the part of the insured.

• What is Robbery?

  Robbery of the Insured device from the Insured Person using violence, threats or intimidation.

• What is Burglary?

  (1) The forcible entry or exit of premises and

  (2) Illegally taking away the Insured device from the Insured Person.

  Visible signs of forced entry must be present in order for loss to be covered.

• What is covered under Device Insure?

  Device Insure will cover Smartphones (Apple, Android, Huawei), Tablets (Apple, Android, Huawei), Smartwatches (Apple, Android, Huawei), laptops, TVs, gaming consoles).

  Device Insure covers incidents below, that are not covered by the device manufacturer warranty:

  • Accidental damage by: Sand, Water, Humidity, Drops and Impacts.
  • Accidental damage by Abrasion/Friction
  • Robbery and Burglary (In case of Robbery and Burglary a police report must be presented at the time of submitting the claim).
  • Loss and warranty related issues are not included in the insurance.
• Can I use Device Insure outside of Bahrain?

  Yes, with the International Insurance Product purchased from Batelco and for VIP customers and will be inclusive by default.

• What is covered under Device Insure VIP?

  All features under Device Insure plus free international coverage and door to door service. Additionally, all claims under Device Insure VIP will be zero excess.

• What shall I do in case of accidental damage to my insured device?
  • All claims must be submitted within 3 working days from the accidental damage or burglary and robbery.

• What should I do in case of robbery?
  • Report the case to 196 to block the line.
  • Report the case to the police within 24 hours of the incident, make sure to obtain the police report.

• Claim requirements to be submitted at time of the claim?
  • Damaged insured device (unless the insured device was lost due to robbery and burglary)
  • Copy of the insured customer CPR or Passport.
  • Copy of the Certificate of Insurance, if available.
  • Insurance claim form (filled and signed) , can be downloaded here
  • In case of robbery and burglary; original copy of the complaint filed with the Police report
  • Payment receipt from Batelco of the SIM replacement.
• How many claims am I entitled along the contract period?

• How the insurance expires?
  • The insurance will expire when  the insured period has passed, Or
  • One of the following options have been entirely claimed: (2 repairs) OR (1 replacement) OR (1 repair followed by 1 replacement)
• Does Device Insure cover used devices?

  No, Device Insure can be only purchased along with newly purchased devices.

• Can I get reimbursed in case of robbery or accidental damage?

  No, there are no reimbursements.

• Upon completion of the 12, 18 or 24 months’ contract, can I extend Device Insure coverage?

  No you can’t extend, nor renew the contract.

• Is Device Insure transferrable to another owner?

  A: No, it’s not transferable.
