Batelco Drag 965 Achieve Major Success in 2016 Sodi World Series

Batelco Drag 965 Place 3rd in field of over 1800 Regional and International Teams

Batelco Drag 965 has finished 3rd overall in the 2016 Sodi World Series (SWS) competing against a huge regional and international line up of over 1800 teams from 52 countries. Over the course of 2016 Batelco Drag 965 amassed 8381 points during 12 races in different countries with six 1st and five 2nd podium places.

Batelco Bahrain CEO Eng. Muna Al Hashemi said that this is a great achievement for the Kingdom of Bahrain and elevates the reputation of racing in Bahrain on the international stage.

“Batelco is proud of the team’s success in the SWS races, especially considering that the international level of competition is very high. Success on the international stage boosts Batelco’s and Bahrain’s profile which helps to confirm the Kingdom as a reputable business and residential hub within the region,” Eng. Al Hashemi added.

Team Manager and Corporate Affairs Senior Manager Osama Alsaad said that he and all the Batelco Drag 965 team members were delighted with this great success especially as it was achieved competing against some of the heavyweight teams and drivers of the karting world.
