Batelco Praised by Al Hekma Society for its Contribution to Support Retired Bahrainis

**Donation Part of the Company’s Annual Commitment**

Batelco, among Bahrain’s leading philanthropic companies, has been recognised for its support of Al Hekma society for Retired Bahrainis. H.E. Sh. Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, presented an appreciation award to Batelco Head of Human Resources & Union Relations Shaikh Bader Al Khalifa at a recent ceremony.

Batelco earlier donated BD2000 to Al Hekma Society for Retired Bahrainis as part of its commitment to provide support for the Centre located in Sanad. Batelco Corporate Affairs Senior Manager Osama Alsaad presented the donation cheque to Al Hekma Society vice Chairman Mr. Saeed Al Samak during his visit to Batelco Headquarters in Hamala.

The Al Hekma Society, established in 1989, is considered a pioneer in specialised social work due to its social, cultural and entertainment roles that target retired Bahrainis from the private, public and military sectors. The Society benefits from wide experience in various fields and strives to employ such experience for the good of the Kingdom and the people of Bahrain.

The recent donation is part of Batelco’s annual commitment to support a vast number of initiatives which benefit the people of Bahrain. Batelco has contributed millions of dinars since its establishment as a Bahraini shareholding company in 1981 to a variety of health, educational, sports and cultural initiatives in the Kingdom.
