Batelco Presents Donation to Al Rahma Centre as Part of the Company’s Annual Commitment

Batelco, among Bahrain’s leading philanthropic companies has donated BD5000 to Al Rahma Centre as part of its commitment to provide support for the Centre located in Riffa. Batelco Bahrain CEO Muna Al Hashemi presented the donation cheque to Al Rahma Centre Chairman and Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain Rasheed Al Maraj during a recent visit to the Central Bank of Bahrain Headquarters in Manama.

The Al Rahma Centre houses the Batelco Recreational Centre, built from previous donations from the telecom company. The recreation centre is equipped with a wide range of equipment suited to the needs of the centre’s attendees. Al Rahma Centre is a non-profit centre designed to provide comprehensive services and programmes for severely mentally impaired adults, both male and female, from the age of 15 up.

The recent donation is part of Batelco’s annual commitment to support a vast number of initiatives which benefit the people of Bahrain. Batelco has contributed millions of dinars since its establishment as a Bahraini shareholding company in 1981 to a variety of health, educational, sports and cultural initiatives in the Kingdom.

“As a successful enterprise with deep roots in Bahraini society, we are delighted to make this contribution to Al Rahma Centre,” said Mrs. Al Hashemi.

Mr. Al Maraj extended his appreciation on behalf of all concerned for Batelco’s ongoing support for the Al Rahma Centre saying, “The centre depends on the generousity of organisations such as Batelco to continue to deliver this much needed assistance for those who attend Al Rahma daily. Batelco’s commitment is invaluable and very much appreciated.”
