Haitham Al-Balooshi was appointed General Manager of Finance at Batelco in August 2024, where he leads the finance team in driving strategic financial initiatives, business performance, and operational excellence.

With over 16 years of experience in the telecom sector across Bahrain and the wider region, Haitham has a proven track record of success in financial leadership. Prior to joining Batelco, he served as Director of B2B Financial Intelligence and Consolidation at stc Group in Saudi Arabia, where he was instrumental in driving profitability and managing the financial portfolio of eight subsidiaries across the group.

Haitham is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in the UK and a Fellow of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). He holds an MBA from the University of Wales and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Bangalore. Additionally, he has undergone intensive executive training from the University of Michigan and possesses specialized certifications in IFRS, Financial Modeling and Strategic Management.

Rashed Mohamed serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Batelco, where he spearheads the continuous advancement of the company’s Networks and IT technologies, ensuring exceptional service quality for consumer, enterprise and global clients. Prior to his current role, Rashed was the General Manager Technology from 2022, and earlier, he held the position of General Manager Networks between 2019 & 2022.

A seasoned Bahraini engineer with 20 years of experience in the technology sector, Rashed has held numerous key leadership roles at Batelco. His expertise spans Mobile Networks, Fixed Operations, Strategy and IT transformations to deliver cutting-edge digital technologies.

Rashed holds a master’s degree in engineering & management from Northumbria University, UK, and a BSc in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Napier University, UK. He also possesses several professional qualifications in the business and technology domains.
